FUNERAL RECEPTIONS
When someone close dies it is easy to feel overwhelmed. Practicalities such as the reception after the service can seem an overwhelming undertaking.
Funerals, Memorials, and Thanksgiving Services often have a sense of unreality, with the person at the heart of the occasion being physically absent. And yet they also provide a unique opportunity to talk about and remember this person, and guests will move mountains to be present.

These gatherings take us into unfamiliar territory, and can benefit from an experienced helping hand.
This is where I can help.
I specialise in working closely with you to create a meaningful gathering which honours and celebrates the loved one who has died as well as allowing room for personal and communal grief.
There is beauty in the details that are bespoke and individual.
Yes, it takes effort (a load I will carry for you), but it adds a deeper and more personal dimension to an occasion which is so precious in the hour of grief.
Not only can I arrange the event for you but I can offer sensitive and subtle suggestions of how to weave details of the loved one you are remembering to the occasion. Whether it be baking their famous flap jacks, making bunches of flowers from the arrangements for guests to take home, or asking guests to send a song that reminds them of the person to make a playlist for the reception.
I want to hear about your loved one, and involve you as much as you’d like to, to help you create a gathering that reflects them.
My starting point is an abundant table.
There is something beautiful in that moment when guests walk into a room which has been lovingly created. Hearts can be seen to rise at the sight of the table with homemade food ready to be enjoyed.
